Teaching Philosophy
“Teaching moves through generations. If you believe in the principles that represent the truth in the masterpieces, then you try to preserve those principals. They can be preserved only through teaching.” -Janos Starker
“Music can change the world because it can change people.” - Bono
Music is a companion through joyous and difficult times. The acquired skill of playing a musical instrument is one that stays with a person the rest of his or her life and provides a form of creative expression. I have received so much from my past teachers and desire to preserve and pass on my own experience through my teaching.
I believe it is not just talent that determines a student’s success, but also perseverance and hard work. The most successful students are the ones who love music and strive to learn. My goal is to inspire and encourage students to become his or her best and to enjoy the process. Cello lessons allow students to develop good work ethic, patience and a sense of accomplishment.
